Thermserve design and build furnaces for the aluminium industry and due to considerable growth, we are looking for a Fabricator/Welder to join our busy shop-floor team.
Required:
Be able to Mig weld 3mm to 40mm mild steel.
Knowledge on how to read a drawing for dimensions, material etc.
Desirable:
Be able to Tig weld if required
Don’t mind working on site if required (hours will be slightly different)
Working Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
Friday: 07:30 – 13:30
Total 40 Hours.

Purpose of the Role:
Commission industrial furnace and process plant installations worldwide, ensuring safe and compliant operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission control systems.
- Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

- Support design reviews and technical problem solving.
- Ensure compliance with CE/UKCA, ISO 9001 and customer specifications.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.

- Carry out loop checks and functional testing / operation commissioning.

Purpose of the Role:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development and delivery of electrical systems for industrial furnace and process plant projects, supporting projects from concept through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems for industrial furnaces and process equipment.
- Produce electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Prepare cable schedules, terminal diagrams and panel layouts.
- Specify motors, VSDs, instrumentation, control panels and safety devices.
- Carry out electrical load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Develop functional specifications for PLC and HMI systems.
- Support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
- Assist with fault finding and customer technical support.
- Prepare electrical documentation for CE/UKCA compliance.
- Work closely with mechanical engineers, project managers and procurement.
- Promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable standards.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships.

Qualifications:
- Degree (BEng/BSc) or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ industrial electrical engineering experience.
