Die Oven
In order to minimise scrap at ‘start up’ the extrusion die must be heated uniformly to a given temperature; this temperature being dependent upon certain parameters such as die mass and surface area. Having infrared temperature measurement within the oven linked to a fully programmable control system ensures the dies are heated to the optimum requirement whilst eliminating the possibility of overheating.
