Thermserve have been awarded a turnkey contract by BCAST (Brunel Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology) for the supply of a complete casting line for use in their new research centre in Uxbridge, UK. The facility will consist of an electrically heated melting furnace, heated launder system, DC casting machine and integrated water system. The installation at Brunel which is due for completion in the last quarter of 2014 will bridge the gap between fundamental research and full-scale industrial trials.
